Alyssa (she/her) is an artist that currently resides in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. She is a full-time tattoo artist and aspiring oil painter that draws inspiration from the beautiful nature around her.

Alyssa loved art as a child and through high school. She made many paintings using acrylic paints during her younger years. She attended the University of Regina for only a single semester of studying fine arts, only to quickly realize this wasn’t going to be the right path. She instead became a barista. In that era she also began collecting tattoos and discovered a love and passion for tattoos; the artwork, the history, the depth and community of the entire industry.

She fell into a tattoo apprenticeship in 2012 at Traditional Tattoo in Regina, Sask under the mentorship of Kevin Leippi. She tattooed there for 6 years, learning and growing as an artist and human. This became her full-time work in 2014.

In 2018, Alyssa and her husband decided to intentionally relocate to Salmon Arm, BC Canada. She finds she is happiest and most at peace in a small town surrounded by beautiul mountains and lakes, flora and fauna. Alyssa joined Pinz Tattoo in October of 2018. She currently tattoos at Pinz and will be located here for the foreseeable future.

Since summer 2025, Alyssa has been self-teaching a new medium: oil paints. Oil painting had always intrigued her, but felt intimidating compared to the painting mediums she was used to. But through the creation of the bloom // shadow collection and some studies in between, Alyssa has been slowly building skills and confidence in her oil paintings. The first completed pieces will be available for viewing at Pinz Tattoo.
